On June 6th, 2023, a real-life fairytale came true. During their magical trip to Walt Disney World Florida, Joe had secretly planned the perfect surprise proposal — a moment that would capture everything they loved about Disney, and about each other.
From the very start of the day, Joe’s nerves were quietly bubbling beneath the excitement. He’d carefully hidden the ring, but as they approached the park gates, a sudden worry hit — what if it set off the metal detectors? In a quick attempt to cover it up, Joe told Hayley to walk ahead because his belt might trigger the alarm… only problem was, Joe wasn’t even wearing a belt! Somehow, the secret survived that close call.
When the timing felt just right, Joe slipped away to Disney’s Town Hall to meet with the photographers he had arranged in advance. They had a special plan — Hayley would be told they’d won a “free Disney photo package.” Joe learned that the photographers’ magic cue for the big moment would be the words “Look at each other.”
